The Ellen Noel Art Museum is an official affiliate with the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., one of only two art museums to receive this distinction. The Globe Theatre, located on the campus of Odessa College, is a cool place to catch a play or musical. It was inspired by William Shakespeare's original Globe Theatre. For those who enjoy outdoor activities, McKinney Park is a treasure. It has a spray park with a large bucket of water that pours down over you from an oil derrick. It opens Memorial Day weekend and is a great place to escape the summer heat for visitors of all ages.
