Chicago offers beautiful sights, one-of-a-kind experiences, a seamless blend of different cultures, and unforgettable food; but one thing you can’t miss is Willis Tower. Who doesn’t want to see the Chicago skyline from 1,450 feet in the air? Willis Tower allows tourists the chance to see the beautiful Windy City from a bird’s eye view. All it takes is climbing 103 stories (or a 60-second elevator ride).

A look at Willis Tower from the street in Chicago

Willis Tower stands 110 feet tall and currently holds the title as the 2nd highest tower in the United States, only falling behind the One World Trade Center. This makes it one of the many reasons it trumps as one of the top tourist destinations, from school groups all the way to personal tours.

First opened in 1974, Willis Tower’s observation deck, Skydeck, takes tourists to the highest elevation an observation deck can take them in the United States. This view lets tourists see past the plains of Illinois and across Lake Michigan. You can even spot Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin on a clear day. Whether you’ve been there before or are a complete newcomer, one thing’s for sure: Skydeck Chicago is an unforgettable experience.

Exploring The Windy City With A Group

Chicago is the third largest city in the U.S. with a little bit of everything for everyone-- from pristine lakes to a buzzing city center. While it’s easy enough to tour the city with yourself and a few other friends, accounting for an entire group can get tricky.

Transporting a group through a busy city can be difficult if you depend on public transportation or rideshare apps. Groups can get separated or lost, and as a result, end up putting your entire trip behind schedule.
