1950s Diner - Heritage District is where the town was founded as a railroad depot in 1903.  Here you can browse antique shops and eat at the Big State Fountain Grill, an old-fashioned diner.  Select a song from the jukebox, a meal from the mouthwatering menu, and relax in the family-style atmosphere. 

Historic Park - Across the street from the diner is Heritage Park, the site of the depot and a 19th-century cabin.  Contact the Irving Heritage Society for their schedule of events and tours.  On the park grounds, you can explore the water tower, train caboose, windmill, and gazebo.

Restored Home - Heritage House, the home of a railroad surveyor, contains beautiful original furnishings!  Among them are a rosewood piano, needlepoint chairs, walnut sideboard, and Venetian crystal.  Tours are held first Sundays, March through December, from 3pm-5pm. 

Lakeside Trail - At Centennial Park, the History Wall highlights milestones of the town's development.  Here you can rest on a park bench, be enchanted by the dancing fountains, and stroll the paved path around the lake.
