The Ins and Outs of Charter Bus Rental Parking in Orlando

CALL (407) 792-0330 TO RENT A BUS IN ORLANDO

When you hire a private group transportation service with GOGO Charters in Orlando, understanding bus rental loading, unloading, and parking logistics will have a positive impact on your trip. To help get you started, here are some quick tips:

Talk to your hotel about parking options.

It’s good practice to call the hotel you and your group will be staying at and ensure they understand you’ll be arriving via charter bus rental. Call and ask if your Orlando hotel has designated parking for oversized vehicles. Or, if not, most types of bus rentals can take up multiple parking spots in a standard lot, so you can ask if they can reserve a spot for your charter bus to park overnight. It’s also worth asking if there’s a designated location for staging, picking up, and dropping off passengers so that your group doesn’t interrupt the flow of traffic.

Contact venues and attractions you’ll be visiting.

If you’re unsure about charter bus parking at any of the destinations on your itinerary, it’s a good idea to contact them directly and ask. Convention centers, museums, stadiums, and theme parks are no strangers to tour bus groups, so it’s best to work directly with them to find the best spot for your bus rental—whether it’s in an onsite lot or parking garage or even nearby street parking or a designated spot.

Reach out to the Orlando’s Department of Transportation.

Finally, if you have any other questions or concerns about where you can and can’t park a charter bus in Orlando, consider contacting the Department of Transportation in Orlando. They’ll be able to help you understand options for street parking and overnight parking, and which Orlando parking garages can accommodate oversized vehicles. If you’re arriving via charter bus from out of town, then they’ll also be able to provide you with essential information like whether or not a permit is needed to drive within city limits.

Loading and Unloading at Orlando International Airport (MCO) with a Private Bus Rental

The Orlando International Airport has two main terminals—A and B—and you can arrange for a pick-up/drop-off on whichever side is most convenient for you according to your airline. Charter buses, out-of-town shuttles, and commercial tour buses can pick up passengers on the Ground Transportation Level of the airport in the designated commercial spaces.

Keep in mind that your charter bus rental won’t be allowed to idle in a designated commercial space and will likely need to park and wait in a cell phone lot (or other lot for oversized vehicles) while waiting for your arrival. Even though your charter bus driver will be tracking your flight status so they can make a swift and seamless pick-up, a good rule is to make contact with them when you land and after your group has retrieved their checked baggage. At that point, you can arrange to meet promptly at the loading area and get your show on the road!

We know it can be overwhelming to navigate the rules and regulations of ground transportation at Orlando International Airport, but it doesn’t have to be! If you’re unsure about the process, and for additional peace of mind, call the MCO’s customer service line and let them know when you’re arriving or departing, and that you have a charter bus rental transporting your group. They should be able to give you parking and loading instructions, tell you if you need to purchase a permit for your bus or get you in touch with someone else who can help.

Charter Bus Parking at Major Theme Parks in Orlando

From multi-day vacations under the hot Florida sun to major events and festivals like the Disney World Marathon Weekend or Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios, there’s always a reason to visit Orlando’s most popular theme parks! If you’re renting a bus with a group to attend an event or explore a park for the day, it’s best to learn about your charter bus rental parking and pick-up/drop-off situations.

Walt Disney World

No matter if you’re visiting Disney World for a grand family vacation or to attend a special event, you’ll need an efficient plan for how to get there. A private charter bus to Disney World can minimize the stresses of crowds, traffic, and traveling with a large number of people.

At Disney World, your parking fee (which won’t be included in your charter bus quote and needs to be budgeted for separately) for oversized vehicles is $35 per day. This includes private shuttle bus rentals and full-size motorcoaches. You’ll pay one fee for a parking pass that works at all four theme parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom).

Universal Orlando Resort

Renting a charter bus to visit Universal Orlando Resort can be a great way to travel with a group safely, all together, on time. The daily parking fee for a bus at Universal Studios is $42 (which won’t be included in your quote from GOGO Charters). When you arrive, go to the General Parking Garage for theme parks and the Universal CityPark at 6000 Universal Boulevard. From there, your bus driver will be directed to the RV/Bus parking area.

If your bus driver is dropping off your group, you need to direct them to the large drop-off area right beside the transportation hub. In this case, drivers won’t have to pay for parking because this area is located beyond parking garage toll booths, so you can choose to have your driver park on-site or at an alternate location until it’s time for your group to be picked up.

SeaWorld Orlando

From an Orlando school trip for a graduation celebration to corporate events like a meeting or company picnic, when you’re traveling to SeaWorld with a private group, a charter bus rental makes for a quick and easy transportation experience. For definitive information about where to park a private bus rental or where to load and unload your group, we recommend contacting the event sales team at SeaWorld and discussing your options.
