GOGO On Your Next Trip to Scottsdale

    An Artful Start

One of the first stops on your trip to Scottsdale should be the Scottsdale Museum Of Contemporary Art. Whether you are an art lover or just want to appreciate the modern era of art, design and architecture you will enjoy this museum. The Museum Of Contemporary Art is home to a plethora of exhibits ranging from paintings to sculptures and everything in between. There is also an outdoor garden where you can enjoy a nice day and view unique pieces of art.

The museum is in the Old Town of Scottsdale making it a great place to start off your trip to the city. There are many restaurants, historic spots and sights to see all within the neighborhood.

Hours of operation are from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM Tuesday and Wednesday, 12:00 PM until 9:00 PM Thursday until Saturday and 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Sunday. The museum is closed on Monday.

    A Common Hangout

To mix with the locals while getting in some great shopping you will want to visit the Kierland Commons. It is one of the cities most dynamic spots and the locals love it. Spend some time browsing the many stores or grab a bite at one of the many hangouts at the Commons.

The Kierland Commons are located downtown and give you the opportunity to walk while you shop. There are stores to satisfy any shopping need, and you will enjoy the welcoming feel of the area. You can even find a selection of great hotels and places to stay while you are in the city.

Shops, hours of operation and other information can be found on the About page of the Kierland website. Feel free to check it out or contact them with any questions.

    A Hike Up Camelback Mountain

One of the best aspects of Scottsdale is the beautiful nature and landscape it is a part of. If you wish to be a part of this while also getting in some exercise look no further than Cameback Mountain, a 2700 foot mountain that is home to a wide range of outdoor activities and vistas.

A hike to the peak of the mountain should take you about 3 hours, and if this is not for you there are plenty of other things to do at the park. You can simply enjoy the view and have a picnic or perhaps visit a camping site and spend the night under the stars.

There are no fees associated with climbing the mountain but you should consider taking part in a group hike to fully experience what Camelback has to offer.

    Music At McDowell

If you wish to find outdoor entertainment without the challenge of a mountain climb you will want to check out McDowell Mountain Regional Park. The park sits on 25 miles of beautiful land that shows off the unique area around the city. It is a one of a kind place to visit.

There are different trails of varying difficulty available if you want a nice hike. You can also do some biking, camping, water sports, or check out a concert if the weather is nice. During the summer you can take part in activities that showcase the culture around Arizona, including night walks and classes on local wildlife.

Fees and hours of operation vary according to the activity.
